It Is Time For...

CAROLINA FOOTBALL

via
After a long offseason, my favorite time of the year has arrived.  The road back to Atlanta and the road to New Orleans {either for the Sugar Bowl or the BCS Championship, I will happily take one or the other} start now!

With a wealth of talent on both sides of the ball, Carolina is expected to have a record breaking year.  I cannot describe how excited I am.  I have been a Carolina fan all my life and witnessed our 1-21 run in 1998 and 1999.  I was there when we began to turn the corner in 2000 under Lou Holtz with back-to-back victories in the Outback Bowl.  I was there for both.  I there for our first victory over Florida since WWII.  I have seen us start out 6-0, only to pluck off six straight losses.  I am not the fair-weathered fan, yet I am realistic.  I fully believe we can pull off an SEC Championship this season.  We will see.  Win or lose, it will be exciting to watch.

For my fellow SEC fans, you must check out this video about The Road to Number 6!

Tonight, I will be Sandstorming my little heart out and hopefully celebrating a Gamecock victory in the Queen City.

Soulfully,
Ashton

By the way, my mom was catching up on the blog the other day and as she read your guest post, she was like "Ashton just seems like such a doll!"--I told her you were!
