Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Though I may not look Irish, I am half Irish. I take after my Dad's mom's side of the family which is Native American. Both of my Mom's parents are Irish. My sister got the "irish blood" with blue eyes, fair skin, and freckles.
Along with being Irish, I love the color green and any excuse for me to drink copious amounts of beer. Responsibly, of course. One place in particular comes to mind when I think of St. Pat's. Savannah, GA, has one of the biggest population of Irishman in the U.S. and one of the largest St. Patrick's Day celebrations. I have celebrated on the famed River Street.

I think St. Pat's is the perfect day for March Madness to begin! I have filled out three very different brackets for two pools. Each one has a different winner...Duke, Ohio State, and Kansas. It will also be the perfect start to a great weekend.
Irish Blessing
May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!
May the luck the Irish be with you, today.
Soulfully,
Ashton
Happy St Patty's Day! - That cake looks sooo good! We don't really celebrate it here which is a huge bummer, but maybe I will just need to go buy a six pack and then dye it green myself :)

ReplyDeletethat cake looks AMAZING! if only I had the patience to make something like that! :)
ReplyDeletexo! Lauren @ tickled.
I love that cake too!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, my sister and I are a bit of the opposite in that regard--she got the Native American genes in our family (ie doesn't burn, her hair is naturally a little darker) and I got the Irish gene (I don't tan, lots of freckles and lighter hair) :)
Happy St. Patty's Day!
