Barrister's Ball Friday Fancies

It is the weekend!
Barrister's Ball {BB} is tonight.  It is the equivalent of formal for a sorority/fraternity.  But, it is has the laid back feel of semi-formal.

This is my actual dress or at least something very similar to it.  It is by Alexia Admor, but mine has white pearls along the top.


I am on the Social Committee, so I was involved in planning some of BB.  It is being held at the Francis Marion Hotel in downtown Charleston.  We are having shrimp n' grits, a sushi bar, and other delicious food.  A photo booth will be sent up for what I am sure will be some classic photo ops.

I was in charge of booking the band.  I volunteered for this job, because I knew just the girl to contact.  I went straight to Megan (Fried Green Pickles), who is somewhat of a pro in the Charleston wedding/event industry.  She helped me snag one of the best "party" bands, Soul Fish, in the area.  They are going to be a lot of fun.  My date is a good guy friend, Anthony, and he loves to dance.

Don't ask about the sombreros!
We most certainly will end our night at Trio Club.  I have by boogie shoes ready for a little...Don't Stop Believin', Sweet Caroline, Take Me Home Tonight, and Shout!

    Love the dress! You'll be dancing to Soul Fish at BB and then Quiana Parler is at Trio tonight! Should be an awesome night!! My favorite wedding songs are the ones that you would never expect the band to play! :)

    My favorite wedding-esque songs are Don't Stop Believing and the Electric Slide! If either song is playing, I am on the dance floor (okay I probably would be on the dance floor before that but still)
