Drumroll, please....

Today is the day....the winner is....
Miss Katie McTighe!!

Katie and I go to law school together.  She is recent follower of my blog.  Katie is one of the nicest people I know.  She always has a smile on her face.  She and her handsome finance, James, are getting married later this year.

I used a random number generator, but I am not tech savvy enough to figure out how to show the number. Fail!  You will just have to take my word for it.  I can't am not suppose to lie...I'm a soon to be attorney.

In other newssssss....

I have become a karaoke slut.
In a month's time, I have showcased my singing abilities not once, not twice, but three times.  Specifically, twice in a week's time.
Last night in honor of Spring Break, our close group of friends hit up the "local" bar across the street from our neighborhood.  Harbor View Tavern (a.k.a. Harbor Lites) is your typical strip mall bar where the locals hang out.  It is a true gem of a place.  A PBR (Pabst Blue Ribbon) tall boy can be purchased for the budget friendly price of $1.50.  All other domestics are $2.00.
Last night was the inaugural evening of karaoke.
Again, another riot of a night!  And, when I say riot I mean hytericallyyyy funnyyyy.  The past two Thursdays are going down as two of the most memorable nights in law school.
I didn't have my camera, so thankfully fortunately I don't have any pictures.  But, Heather got some and a video so I will post those soon.

Also, today begins a three-day series between the University of South Carolina and Clemson University.  This series has been dubbed the "premier rivalry" in college baseball.  As I previous mentioned (here), the last time these two teams met up was at the College World Series.  We take our baseball almost as serious as we take our football.
These three games are played in unique fashion. Rather than the teams switching off each year between the two schools, they play one game at Carolina, one game at a neutral site (Fluor Field in Greenville, SC) and one game at Clemson.  Heather will be going to the Greenville and Clemson games to root on her Tigers.  I will be watching from Charleston.

Rival Roomies
May the best team win! ;-)

Go Cocks!

Soulfully,
Ashton

P.S. If you are not from SC, do you think it is weird that I say "Go Cocks"?!

  2. This post is so timely! This morning I was walking through the T station & saw a guy wearing a hat that said Cocks in huge letters. Since I am thinking of moving down to NC or SC, I knew it was for USC but I saw plenty of other people that clearly didn't know :) quite amusing
